In the pursuit of the objective to introduce local public authorities to the changes brought by the pan-European Data Protection Reform, ProLegis unites the efforts of 6 partner organisations. Under the project coordinated by Law and Internet Foundation, tailored training materials and a customised training methodology aimed at the local public authorities’ employees will be developed.

The training that will happen during the course of the project will unfold on two stages. Firstly, the train-the-train approach will be utilised training at least 2 trainers from each partner country on the to-be elaborated materials. These trainers will proceed spreading knowledge on national level and thus increase the readiness of local public authorities to apply the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation. Secondly, in each partner country there will be organised national workshops.

In addition, under the ProLegis framework an e-Learning programme will be developed as well. The e-Learning platform will encompass the elaborated materials and methodology to further educate target groups and provide training online to cater to local public authorities’ employees who are unable to participate in the face-to-face events of the project.

ProLegis implementation will unravel from November 2017 till April 2018. The project is implemented with the support of the Rights, Equality, Citizenship Programme of the European Commission under Grant Agreement № 769143.
